How/Why did you end up in Portland?

I was living in Salt Lake City for eight years and needed a change. My boyfriend at the time got a job in Portland, so we moved up together.

What is your profession?

I work in higher education, dealing with loans and student accounts.

Tell us a bit about your role in the NetRippers Football Club

I started playing soccer for the first time in August of 2011, when I showed up to a Saturday practice. Everyone was extremely nice, even though it was clear I didn’t know what I was doing. I spend most of my time running around on the field, hoping I’m facing the right direction.

Who is your favorite soccer memory?

After getting injured playing indoor, I went to watch the Delilah’s play. Just before the game started, the team put their hands in and yelled “1, 2, 3, JASON!”

Favorite (professional or otherwise) soccer player?

I don’t know many players, but I’m impressed by Sammy, Matt, Andrea, Alex, Brian, Erin, Lisa, Misty and everyone else I’ve met in NetRippers.

If you could be a superhero, who would you be and what kind of power would you have?

I can’t pick a specific superhero, but I would want to be able to move through solid objects, freeze things or move stuff with my mind. But who says I don’t have a superpower?

What inspires you?

Pianos and cellos, photos of food, well-written words, friendship, hot air balloons, and the little things in life. Also, the Brave Little Toaster. He’s my inspiration for everything.

What is the first time you noticed that Gayness existed?

I don’t know about gayness, but I noticed “otherness” when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I probably couldn‘t have put that into words until I was closer to 14 though.

| Where is your favorite place in the world?
|

I have a soft-spot in my heart for Christchurch, New Zealand; Vancouver, BC; and Hanging Lake, Colorado.

Your having a dinner party of 6, whom would you invite?

My closest friends, of course! Lame answer, I know. But they’re the best people.
