Roles and Responsibilities
A summary of each role is below.
Full responsibilities are in the NRFC bylaws
Co-Chair is a two year term position. Co-Chairs alternate election years.
The Co-Chair elected in 2026 will serve with Bee for 2026-2027, then the next elected Co-Chair for 2027-2028.
Ensure the short and long-term success of the organization by driving the direction of the board
Produce an annual report to summarize activities and finances
Coordinate Annual Elections
Lead Board meetings, including setting of agenda and facilitation of meetings
Lead the development of annual committees
Onboard new board members
Build and maintain relationships with other clubs and partners
Monitor compliance with state and federal policies
Treasurer is a one year term position.
Responsible for the financial accounts and bookkeeping of those accounts.
Prepare preliminary annual budget for approval in collaboration with Executive Team for board approval
Track all inflow and outflow of monetary resources
Produce annual financial report
Facilitate taxes & coordination with CPA, as well as any reporting requirements at state and federal levels
Ensure payment to regular expenses such as Website, domain, state registration, etc.
Secretary is a one year term position.
Take minutes at Board meetings, saving into Board repository for posterity
Prepare and circulate the agendas for Board meetings
Set the monthly board meetings and share calendar invites to attendees
Manage the membership of the NetRippers email lists
Manager Director is a one year term position.
They serve as an advocate of and point of contact for current and future team managers.
Bring questions or issues from team managers to the Board’s attention
Serve as a resource and provide support to current team managers
Provide training and orientation to new managers
Facilitate annual Manager Appreciation Event
Work with other Board members to identify ways to recruit and retain more team managers
Build and maintain documentation on processes relevant to team managers
Tournament Director is a one year term position.
They manage and execute the Drag indoor and Friendly outdoor tournaments.
Reserve required facilities, including fields, parks, as well as pre- and post-event spaces.
Manage registration for the tournaments
Partner with Fundraising Coordinator to secure sponsorships for the tournaments
Identify and fulfill all equipment needs for tournaments
Draft balanced teams according to skill level
Coordinate with outside clubs for their attendance to the Summer tournament.
League Director is a one year term position.
They manage and execute Blossom League.
Maintain relationship with facility / find new fields as needed
Manage registration for the league
Partner with Event Coordinator for post game and post season parties
Draft balanced teams according to skill level
Solicit community feedback, adjust league rules and structure accordingly as appropriate
Send weekly communications about league and sponsorships to participants
Fundraising Coordinator is a one year term position.
They organize fundraising efforts throughout the year to ensure the financial viability of the organization.
Lead grant applications
Reach out to local businesses for potential sponsorships
Run an annual donation drive for the club
Keep an updated sponsorship list of all orgs who have donated to club or teams
Draft and send donation receipt / thank you letters for tax compliance
Event Coordinator is a one year term position.
They organize social events and club gatherings with the purpose of building community
Facilitate community building off the pitch
Organize a consistent cadence of events (ideally monthly)
Collaborate with fundraising coordinator, community coordinator, and communications coordinator
Volunteer opportunities with other non profits, social mixers, meet n greets, clothing drives, free events in Portland, etc
Community Coordinator is a one year term position.
They facilitate the introduction of new players to the club.
Keep an updated roster of all active teams and team managers
Build and maintaining relationships with other local clubs and partners
Manage the new member onboarding process and respond to New Member interest forms
Work with the Manager Director to direct interested players to teams and create new teams as needed.
Practice Coordinator is a one year term position.
They ensure the regular operation of NRFC practices.
Run practices from mid-spring to mid-fall and any indoor winter practices. Guest coaches are allowed and encouraged!
Ensure necessary practice equipment is stocked
Communications Coordinator is a one year term position. They build NRFC’s social media presence and help build our brand.
Design all flyers and graphics for events and communications
Provide regular engagement through our Instagram, Slack, and Email, including triaging messages to the appropriate parties
Deliver a regular email newsletter describing upcoming events
